Campinas is a medium-sized city with ca. 1.5 million inhabitants located at 100 km from the capital of the São Paulo state, southeast of Brazil (https://pt.wikipedia.org/wiki/Campinas). It is served by the International Airport of Viracopos, where the attendees to the School can arrive and depart to Rio de Janeiro, at the end of the School.
The University of Campinas (http://www.unicamp.br) has 34,000 students divided into the Graduate and Undergraduate Schools.
The Institute of Chemistry (www.iqm.unicamp.br) is one of the first faculties established in the University, in 1967. The University is 15 km away from Campinas downtown and has a life of its own. It is surrounded by a quiet neighborhood with students´ and families´ houses. There are two small hotels close to the University, one of them, in fact, inside the Campus.
We will soon make available here, a list of the hotels and bed and breakfast housing close to the Campus.
